EDUCATOR  ON A MISSION

  Professor Angela has been teaching in the Strategic, Legal, & Management Department
in the Cathy Hughes School of Communications for over 10 years. She has been vital and essential in expanding
Pre-Law studies within the department. 
As Director of the Howard University Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Forensics Program,
​Professor Angela has been zealously developing students to become leaders in the global community through
​speech & debate and mock trial intercollegiate competitions.
Howard University’s long-standing commitment to forensics dates back to the early 1940’s and is still recognized as one
​of the few Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) that competes in forensic intercollegiate competitions.

MOCK TRIAL
The Howard University Mock Trial Team (HUMTT) is a nationally ranked, award-winning undergraduate team engaging in the
intellectual sport of trial court simulations. The Howard University Mock Trial Team is consistently ranked "Top 10" amongst
​700 Colleges​ and Universities.  
Currently, HUMTT is the 6th best team in the nation!
​
SPEECH & DEBATE​
The Howard University Speech & Debate Team (HUSDT)
has spawned nation-wide attention for their outstanding
Speech & Debate argumentation styles through the
"Great Debate" series. The Howard Speech & Debate team
has reignited cultural rhetoric and argumentation on
​ black historic campuses. HUSDT competes in all speech events as well as  intercollegiate debate.
HUSDT is ranked 1st place in Parliamentary Debate at the
​HBCU National Championship!
